Music in the Triplet Daycare

Tunes to Set the Mood

Updated 2/5/2022

As of Week 20 with the Triplets, we do not have a TV in the day care space. I’ve got nothing against screen time, there simply isn’t a TV in that room.

Love Triplets Music

It’s actually a setup that works well for me personally as I do not multitask well. Any parent knows that unexpected things can happen – good or bad – in that moment out of the day when you’re not looking.

Instead, I’m a big fan of listening to music while I care for the kids. In the case of the day care I select playlists that are appropriate for the babies, but also music I enjoy.

We recently subscribed to Apple Music and it’s playlists have brought some interesting music and artists to my attention that I wanted to share.

Tunes Set the Tone

Different times of the day call for different types of music. If it’s nap time we slow things down with lullabies, and awake time calls for more upbeat nursery rhymes.

There are plenty of timeless classics, but I’m always looking for songs/albums/artists that align with my particular music tastes. The following are discoveries I wanted to share with my readers.

Lullabies

Artist/AlbumNotes
Christina Perrisongs for rosie is a children’s album that includes lullaby versions of her top hits
Twinkle Twinkle Little Rock StarI believe these are called “Dad friendly” lullabies. Your favorite rock, country, alternative and other chart topping hits adapted to lullabies
Lullabies Station on Apple MusicWhen you’re just looking to create a quiet atmosphere quickly, this playlist never disappoints
